Trainee GPs

We are a GP training practice and so regularly have trainee GPs here working with us.  These are fully qualified doctors who have decided to specialise as a GP.  In order to become a fully qualified GP they have to undertake 3 years of training and pass a number of exams.  While they are with us they are fully supervised by our GPs who review their work regularly.

You may have a consultation with one of these doctors whilst they are working here and they also have to undertake a number of video consultations.  If you are asked if you consent for your consultation to be videoed, please don't feel under any pressure to agree. We all understand that some patients don't feel comfortable with being videoed and this will not in any way affect the care you receive from the trainee GP or our own permanent GPs.

If you would like any more information about the trainee GPs please contact Diane Sheasby, our Operations Manager, who will be pleased to help. She can be contacted via Reception.
